A visit to Aran can be a detox from the stresses of modern-day living. Wild, rugged and beautiful, Inis Mór has captured the imaginations of travellers for thousands of years. Prehistoric settlers, early Christian monks, pirates, farmers and fishermen have at one time put down their roots and built communities, which you can still see today as ruins, likes bones sticking from the landscape.

Aran, at its most basic, is an outdoor museum! From a limestone reef surrounding us in the water, to the land that is dotted with forts, high crosses and churches. As you walk or ride about the island, you’ll be able to sense the spirit of Gaelic Ireland, touch the past, and enjoy all the comforts and facilities of the present. This is an island full of peace, tranquility, and wonderful adventures!
